Friday, October 23, we delivered the first products for our customer Saint Gobain Solutions. 500 Thermostats and 40 Wifi Relays are finished by our manufacturing department, enabling this first delivery to reach the customer on time. The first series will be used in a renovation project.
The thermostats (image above) and WiFi Relay boxes are part of the ActiveWarmth system that Saint-Gobain Solutions brings to the market. This system consists of electrically powered heat panels that can be installed within the walls of a room. These heat panels directly radiate heat, making sure the room heats up in no time at all.
For residents of the houses in the renovation project, this means less energy consumption, noise and fire resistance, and better air quality. Moreover, the heating is invisible and no construction modifications are necessary.
An important advantage is that the space is only heated when people are present. Therefore no more energy is wasted. The thermostats manufactured by RENA detect whether there are people in the room. The thermostats communicate wirelessly with the WiFi Relay Box. This box controls the panels in the room.
The ActiveWarmth system is fully electric, which makes it perfectly in line with the aim of being completely free of natural gas by 2050.
Saint-Gobain Solutions has concluded an agreement with Feenstra for the installation, management and maintenance of the ActiveWarmth system. Feenstra now mainly installs and maintains central heating systems for private individuals and housing associations. Feenstra sees their market also becoming (natural) gas-free in the future, and that is why they would like to participate in new market developments at the front.
